Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 16, 2026. Last updated: November 6, 2026
1. Who we are
Wildfire is operated by Wildfire Movements Co, a Wyoming corporation. In this policy, “Wildfire,” “we,” “us” and “our” mean Wildfire Movements Co. Wildfire Movements Co is bound, as the operator, by this policy and by the Terms, EULA, Cookie Policy, Acceptable Use Policy and Disclaimer posted on this site. Where any of those documents still names Northside Innovative Movements LLC, that reference applies to Wildfire Movements Co as operator until the document is updated. This policy covers the website at wildfiremovements.com (the “site”) and Wildfire Early Access at wildfiremovements.com/early-access (“Early Access”). We call them the “services.”

2. What we collect
We collect only what you choose to give us, plus the limited technical details described in section 3:
- Your email address, when you join our waitlist or create an account. This is the only required field for the waitlist.
- If you choose to provide them: your name, your organization, your organization’s email address, the cause you care about, and any note or message you add.
- When you create an account: your email address, the name or nickname you choose to show, and your age range. If you are 13 to 17, the name and email address of the parent, guardian or school account you link.
- When you confirm your mobile number: a scrambled form of the number (a one-way hash) and its last two digits, so that one person has one account. We do not keep the number itself; our text-message provider receives it to send you a code (see section 6).
- If you join for an organization: its name, website and logo, whether it will lead or join movements, and your name and work email as its representative. We may also keep notes from confirming that the organization is real, such as a check of its email domain or a call.
- Your choices about what others see, and a record of what you agreed to and when (for example, showing your name, a photo or a testimonial, or accepting our Terms and this policy).
- If you draft a movement: what you write, any logo or cover photo you upload, and the names and email addresses of any co-leaders you add.
- Answers to interest polls, testimonials you choose to share, and feedback you send us, including any screenshot you attach.
- If you tell us about your movement: what you write, the links you give us, and, if you choose to add one, a photo or PDF of your flyer. If you use “Say it,” your browser writes out what you say, and we receive only the words, never the recording. If your flyer shows people, we use only its words, and only Wildfire’s team can see the photo.
- If you ask for actions near you: the ZIP code you enter. We do not use your device’s location.
- If you email us directly, your email address and whatever you include in your message.
We do not ask for anything else, and we do not buy personal information from anyone. We do not collect payment card details; donations in Early Access are not real payments. Example movements and their actions are samples; photos or receipts you add there stay on your device.
3. How we collect it
We collect your information when you submit a form yourself, create or use an account, use Early Access, or email us.
Like every website, the site is delivered by a hosting provider, Netlify. When your browser loads a page, Netlify automatically receives basic technical details such as your IP address, your browser type and the page you asked for. Netlify uses these details to deliver the site and keep it secure. We do not use them to identify you, profile you or track you.
Early Access saves your progress in your browser’s own storage on your device. If something you submit can’t be sent right away, for example because you are offline, it is kept on your device and sent when you are back online.
4. Why we use it
We use your information only to:
- tell you about early access and about Wildfire’s launch;
- contact you if you have told us you want to run a movement on Wildfire;
- reply to you if you write to us;
- run your account and keep the details you gave us;
- review, approve and publish movements, and confirm that organizations are real;
- show the information you have chosen to make public;
- send the messages and notifications you have chosen to receive;
- show actions near you;
- keep the services safe, including preventing spam, misuse and offensive or misleading names;
- improve the services, using your feedback; and
- carry your account, follows and drafts over to the Wildfire app when it launches.
We do not use it for anything else.
5. What others can see
Nothing you give us is public unless you choose to show it. If you agree, others can see the name or nickname you choose on the movements you follow and on a short public card. If you join for an organization and agree, its name and logo can be shown. Movements, photos and testimonials are shown only after we approve and publish them, and photos only with confirmation that everyone pictured agreed. You can change or withdraw any of these choices at any time. We never show your email address, phone number, age range or how we confirmed you. Leaders of movements you follow see the name you chose, not your contact details.
The movements you follow may reveal your beliefs, faith, health or other personal matters. Your follows are private unless you choose to show them.
Information you make public may appear in search results, and others may copy or share it. Withdrawing a choice stops us from showing it, but we can’t recall copies others have already made.
Changes to a movement’s goal, objectives, leaders and rules are logged publicly and permanently, including the names leaders chose to show.
6. Who we share it with
We share your information only with the service providers that run the services:
- Netlify hosts the services and receives form submissions. Netlify screens every form submission for spam using a service called Akismet.
- Google Workspace provides our email. Form submissions may be forwarded to our inbox.
- Termly provides our cookie consent banner and our privacy request form.
- Postmark sends our account emails: one-time sign-in codes and notices about your account, such as a claim being confirmed or a draft being reviewed. It receives your email address and the message we send.
- Twilio sends the one-time codes that confirm your mobile number. It receives your phone number and the code, and keeps a record of the message as its own services require.
- Anthropic provides Claude, which drafts movement pages. When you tell us about your movement, it receives what you sent (your words, your links and any flyer photo) along with the public pages we read, so it can write the draft. Anthropic’s commercial terms limit how it may use this data.
- If you use “Say it,” your browser’s maker turns your voice into text under its own privacy policy: Google for Chrome, Apple for Safari. Wildfire never receives the recording.
Wildfire’s team also uses Claude in its own chats, signed in with the team’s work accounts. For team members, those chats can read calendars and files but cannot change them. A team member’s email reaches Wildfire only when they file one short line from it themselves. The line links back to the message. Those chats reach nothing from the Wildfire app; its data stays in its own systems. Replies to Wildfire’s emails about an organization land on that organization’s page on our team site. Only Wildfire’s team can see it there.
These providers handle your information so they can provide these services to us. If we start using another service that handles your information, such as a text-message service or a measurement service, we will name it in this policy before we move any information to it.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent it. We do not share it for advertising. We may show or share data that doesn’t identify users, such as how many people follow a movement or how many actions were verified.
When Wildfire’s own company is formed, or if Wildfire is reorganized, sold or merged, your information may move to the company that runs Wildfire, under this policy.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, for example to comply with a valid court order.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
The services use only what they need to work:
- Browser storage on your device, so Early Access remembers where you left off. You can clear it with “Start over” in Early Access or in your browser’s settings.
- Our consent banner from Termly, which records your choices.
We do not currently use analytics or advertising tools. If we add privacy-friendly measurement, it will run only if you accept it in the consent banner, and we will name the provider here first. Our Cookie Policy gives the details, and you can change your choices at any time through “Consent Preferences” at the bottom of every page.
Some browsers can send a “Do Not Track” signal. Because we do not track you across other websites, there is nothing for that signal to turn off, and we treat every visitor the same way whether or not their browser sends it.
8. Messages and texts
We send the emails you need to use your account, such as sign-in codes and confirmations, through Postmark. Other emails, such as updates and notifications, include an unsubscribe link, and you can turn email updates on or off in Early Access settings. When you confirm your mobile number, we text you a one-time code through Twilio; that is the only text we send unless you agree to others. We will send other text messages only if you separately agree to receive them; you can reply STOP to stop them or HELP for help, and message and data rates may apply. If we let organizations on Wildfire message each other, those messages will be stored so they can be delivered and kept safe.
9. How long we keep it
We keep your waitlist information until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or until 12 months after we stop sending early access and launch updates, whichever comes first.
We keep account information while your account is open and for 30 days after you close it, so it can be recovered if you change your mind. Drafts that are never approved are deleted 24 months after they were last changed. We keep records of what you agreed to for as long as we show the related information, and for 3 years afterward to show that we had permission. Flyer photos and PDFs you send us are deleted 30 days after they arrive. Backups are deleted on a rolling basis within 35 days.
10. Your choices and rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- show you the information we hold about you;
- correct it;
- delete it;
- give you a copy of it; or
- stop emailing you.
Email hello@wildfiremovements.com or privacy@wildfiremovements.com, or use the privacy request form. We may need to confirm that a request came from you before we act on it. You can also change your name, what others see, and how we contact you in Early Access settings (“Your name and privacy”), and withdraw any permission you have given.
You can use these rights wherever you live. If we decline a request, you can ask us to reconsider by replying to our decision or emailing privacy@wildfiremovements.com.
If you live in California
California residents have the right to:
- know what personal information we collect, how we use it and who we disclose it to;
- ask us to delete it;
- ask us to correct it;
- limit our use of sensitive personal information; and
- not be treated differently for using these rights.
We do not sell or share your personal information, as California law defines those terms. To use any of these rights, email hello@wildfiremovements.com or use the privacy request form. You may also have an authorized agent make a request for you.
11. Children and teens
The services are for people 13 and older. Children under 13 may look around Early Access but cannot create an account, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it. If you believe a child has given us information, email hello@wildfiremovements.com.
People 13 to 17 must link a parent, guardian or school account. That adult can see the teen’s activity, pause it or remove it, and the teen’s actions count only after the adult approves. We keep the linked adult’s name and email address only so they can oversee the teen’s account. We will tell the linked adult how we use their details and ask them to confirm by email.
12. Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information we hold, and we limit access to the people who run Wildfire. No website or email system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee that your information will always be safe. If a security breach affects your information, we will notify you as the law requires.
13. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page with a new effective date. If a change is significant, we will also tell people with accounts by email or in the services before it takes effect.
